NARROW GASTROPLASTY WITH BYPASS IN Y OF ROUX

The surgeries described as mixed are the choice techniques of most groups and surgeons that deal with obesity. It consists on the stomach’s reduction in a little reservoir, it concerns the exclusion of the first part of the small intestine, which may vary between 50 and 100cm. The performance of physical activities for, at least, three times a week, and the nutritional accompaniment are fundamental to achieve the ideal weight and it brings, yet, the best benefits to the patient’s health.

Usually, the patients are hospitalized for 24 to 48 hours and, after that period, they’re guided to an outpatient return after 5 days. In average, the patients achieve the ideal weight within one year and half or two years, depending on the accompaniment and performed physical activities.
